Roger Souvereyns is one of the most influential kitchen chefs in Belgian history. Roger & I is the story of a career spanning 65 years. More than forty chefs and sommeliers testify to the lasting influence that his exceptional talent, visionary approach and charismatic personality have left on them. Respectfully, enthusiastically and at times critically, they look back on their time spent in the Scholteshof restaurant. Many of his books have won international awards, including (amongst others) the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009 and the World Food Media Award in 2005. In 2007 he was nominated for the Flemish Cultural Prize in the category ‘food culture’.
